In Rhetorics, a delayed sentence is a periodic sentence that aims at keeping the
engagement high by withholding the main idea until the very end – a story told by means of intertwined movements is the underlying idea behind Delayed Sentence's every mix.
Italian, she fell for the clubbing scene after moving to Lisbon in the early 2000s. Towards the end of the decade, she co-founded the infamous “B-80’s/Retro Futurism” nights, and under the name Pac Woman, she took booth duties focusing on the electronic dance music of the 80’s.
That eventually led to several residencies in and around Portugal’s capital.
A crate digger with a preference for unknown talents, she’s been a regular dance floor presence internationally for over 2 decades, half of which were spent intermittently behind the booth.
After hanging the headphones for good several times, in 2021 she returned to the deckstop finally give vent to her unwavering passion, Techno.
Delayed Sentence’s signature Raw Techno Eleganza encompasses a blend of
cutting-edge releases and golden classics, drawn from her ever-expanding vinyl collection. On decks or turntables, her mixing style defies contemporary convention, electing a steadily unstoppable flow that’s tailored for the relentless dance floor.
Mostly fast and dynamic, or more hypnotic at times, her repertoire traverses the many diverse dimensions of Techno, rising from the depth of Dub into the pounding rhythms of Hardgroove, and taking unexpected turns into
Electro, Breaks or more psychedelic soundscapes.
First lady of the 8sixA Collective and a member of the Drop After Drop crew, Delayed Sentence is a resident DJ at AMW.FM; her weekly show, The Garbage Game, mostly focused on improvisation and genres experimentation, is a showcase of collabs with up and coming Amsterdam’s talents.
